Flock of the Seraphim Launch Hotfixes
Public developer replies from the first days after August 13, 2026.
1.0 did not arrive quiet. Steam reviews and threads filled with loading-screen hangs, mid-run closes, missing achievement writes, and a few “bricked” feelings after a crash on the result screen. GuuchanDev answered some of those in public. This page is that log. The playable version is the crash fix.
Boot options and DX12
On a loading-screen review, the developer said new boot options were coming and that the first item — play using DX12 — might help. They also said a machine under the minimum spec line might simply fail. The store minimum still reads Windows 10 64-bit, a six-core Ryzen 5 class CPU, 6 GB RAM, GTX 1060 class GPU, 1 GB disk. Iris Xe-class reports are already in the wild.
If you are writing a new hang thread, include whether the DX12 option appeared and which GPU you have. That is more useful than a second reinstall story.
Achievement tracker
A launch review said in-game goals completed while Steam stayed locked, and the machine also crashed. The developer said an achievement hotfix was due within about an hour and that boot options might help stability. If a master banner lied to you, reboot after the patch and only then tick the unlock checklist.
The public board is now the full 39-row list on Achievements. The store spelling Resiliant is still the one this wiki uses. Steam’s official news hub for the app was still empty in the first weekend; this log remains review-comment archaeology until a numbered post appears.
Run crashes and weapon notes
On a twenty-minute double crash, GuuchanDev asked which weapons were in the flock. If you can reproduce a close, write the families: dual swords, RPG, shotgun, and the rest from Weapon Types. Then try a flock without the last recruit. Demo season already had bullet-optimization notes; 1.0 heat may still sit in the same pile.
Force-closing on the result screen is how keeps look “bricked.” Check Steam Cloud and the flock screen before you post a save-death. How to Unlock Angels is the keep rule.
What is not a hotfix
Spawn-radius taste, Endless enemy variety, missing sound sliders, short cross animations, and a pad-hostile start menu are design threads. They may get patches. They are not the same class as a client that never opens. File them separately so the boot pile stays readable.
How this page will age
When a numbered Steam news post appears, quote it here and retire the review-comment archaeology. Until then, this log is a stack of public replies, not a patch file. Pair it with Official Links if you want the inbox, and with Demo History if you want the older work that 1.0 inherited.
If you are writing a new review, say whether DX12 appeared. If you are writing a new discussion, say the minute and the families. The developer has already shown they read those details. A third “game crashed” title without a GPU line will sit under the same pile. This page exists so you can copy the useful shape of a report, then go back to a two-range flock when the client lives.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the first fix to try?
The DX12 boot option, then a spec check against the GTX 1060 / 6 GB line.
Did achievements get a hotfix?
The developer said a tracker hotfix was going live during launch week. Reboot and check Steam after you update.
What should I include in a crash report?
GPU, whether DX12 appeared, the minute, and the weapon families in the flock.
Is a missing keep a hotfix issue?
Sometimes it is a crash on the result screen. Check Cloud and the flock before you assume a wipe.
