Stat Glossary

Cards in Flock of the Seraphim are short and the club screen is shorter. This glossary is the pocket list. The essay is Passives and Stats. Filter the box if you only came for Luck.

Damage
Raw hit strength on angel shots and slashes. It does not replace fire rate or pierce when a wave is already wrapping you.
Fire rate
How often an angel cycles a shot. Fast weapons love it. Slow launchers need it before you stack a third RPG.
Reload
Time spent empty. Dual pistols and shotguns feel this first. A reload angel can carry a greedy flock through the last two minutes.
Pierce
How many demons a projectile can pass through. Bows and rifles scale harder here than shotguns that already spray a cone.
Health recovery
Sustain between hits. It will not save a stand-still in a spawn pocket, but it buys time while you kite the first boss.
Luck
Players keep asking what Luck does on the club and chest screens. Treat it as a roll weight for better drops and boxes, not a hidden damage stat, until a patch notes page says otherwise.
Split Shot
A named passive from the demo updates. The second projectile now fires behind the angel except on shotgun. Position so the back shot still hits something.
Crit Rate
Steam lists a Crit Rate Trainer for raising crit chance five times in one run. Treat it as how often a hit rolls a crit, not as a substitute for fire rate when the wave is already wrapping you.
Crit Damage
Crit Damage Trainer asks you to raise crit damage five times in one run. It juiced already-landing crits. It will not help a flock that never fires.
Move Speed
Movement Trainer is the public name for stacking move speed five times in a crusade. Feet still beat a node if you camp a corpse pile. Use it to leave spawn pockets, not to stand in them faster.
Life Steal
Life Stealer asks you to heal from life steal 250 times. That is a sustain counter, not a license to tank a demon lord. Pair it with Health recovery and keep walking.
Crosses
Believer says pray 250 times by collecting crosses mid-run. Circle a sparkle once, then leave. A Steam thread already asked for a longer pickup animation because the reward is easy to miss in the mess.

How to read a word in a chest

If the word is fire rate, reload, or pierce, it is probably for the family you already have. If the word is Luck, it is a future drop, not a stomp shield. If the word is Split Shot, turn your body so the rear bullet has a target, unless you are on shotgun. If the word is recovery, it buys a graze, not a camp.

That is enough to finish the first boss without a thesis. Endless is the same list with less patience for glow. The item tier list names the auras that already disappointed people.

What we will not define yet

Element tags, class tags, and exact Luck coefficients. A review mentioned elements and classes. A thread asked what Luck means. Neither is a patch note. When GuuchanDev prints a number, it lands here and on the passives page together.

Until then, sort angels by ability in the flock screen — that toggle has existed since the first big demo update — and pick the text that covers a hole. The glossary is a flashlight. The build planner is a sketch. The arena is still the judge.

If a new printed stat appears after a hotfix, add it to the filter list instead of writing a poem. Short words are how this game talks. We can talk that way too.

If you opened this page mid-roar, close it. Glance at fire rate, reload, pierce, or recovery, pick the one your spine drinks, and move. The filter box is for the hub. The first-boss guide is for the clock. A glossary that becomes a second pause menu is how people die on a card. Use it between crusades, the same way you use meta upgrades. Then let the printed five do the talking.

If you are teaching a friend, send them this page after Getting Started, not before. A glossary without a run is a word list. A word list does not move the nun. After one death you will know which word you starved. Filter that word, read two sentences, buy the matching node on meta upgrades, and launch again. That loop is the reason the filter box exists. It is not a homework assignment. It is a flashlight for a short card game that also happens to be a horde shooter.

One more use: after a club screen you do not understand, type the printed word into the filter before you reroll. If the word is not here, it is not a public stat yet. Leave the chest, keep the two-range flock, and write the mystery down for Launch Hotfixes. Inventing a sixth stat mid-roar is how people buy glow and die. The five printed words plus Luck and Split Shot are the whole public dictionary. Everything else waits for GuuchanDev to print it in a public patch note first. Until that note exists, do not invent a sixth stat.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the official angel stats?

Fire rate, reload, damage, pierce, and health recovery, per the store page.

What does Luck do?

There is no official formula. Treat it as a drop-weight guess for chests and boxes, not as damage.

What does Split Shot do?

Demo notes say the second projectile fires behind the angel except on shotgun.

Is this glossary complete?

It is complete for the public words. Hidden coefficients wait for a patch note.
